We are landscape architects based in the Sacramento region who do work all over California, including San Francisco, Santa Rosa, Oceano, Petaluma, Napa, Los Angeles, San Marino, and elsewhere. Most of our work consists of landscape designs in California's Central Valley: Carmichael, Fair Oaks, Loomis, Rocklin, Granite Bay, Modesto, Elk Grove, Davis, West Sacramento, Auburn and El Dorado Hills.
We also worked in France and other places around the world with climates from tropical to temperate. One of our principals was involved in the redesign of Taman Suropati in Jakarta, Indoonesia. He also worked on the Sheraton Hotel & Towers in Addis Abeba, and did design studies in Jordan, Sweden, France, Argentina, Mexico, Vietnam, Tunisia and China.
Our principals both hold masters degrees in landscape architecture from Cal Poly Pomona. One earned a bachelors degree in landscape architecture from ESAJ in Paris, France. The other has a degree in environmental studies from UCSC.
We have one principal who is a member of the American Society of Landscape architects (ASLA) and another who is a member of the Association of Professional Landscape Designers (APLD). This allows us to attend more seminars at a lower cost, as well as get to know a lot more landscape designers.

We specialize in sustainable landscape architecture and design, and apply our background in art to create interesting and beautiful landscapes that are friendly to the environment. Where possible, we use locally adapted plants for reduced maintenance and water saving.
We feel that a landscape should function as a unified system, with each part contributing to the function and aesthetics of the whole.
Plants should have several purposes - in addition to looking good, they should be edible, feed birds and insects and provide habitat that would otherwise not exist in the urban or suburban environment.
The design should capture runoff water for infiltration into the soil. Toxic processes should never be used for maintenance.
