By day, the firepit is a sculptural block element in the landscape. This is the only lawn in the design. It's there for a bit of informal play. The bulk of the landscape is done with water conserving plants. This area, visible from the house, gives seasonal change, with plants that bloom at different times of the year. Creeping plants soften these hard-edged slate seat walls. This dipping pool is raised for privacy and for better visibility from the home. This modern home belongs to art collectors.
